Community Gardens of Tucson is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization devoted to promoting health, knowledge, and a sense of community by helping Tucsonans establish and maintain vegetable and flower beds in neighborhood-based community gardens. Our gardeners range from novices to expert gardeners and we rely on volunteers to education our gardeners, coordinate garden activities and maintain the gardens.

Our community gardens are communal spaces on public or private property, lent to the organization for the purposes of gardening. Each gardener has his/her own garden plot and pays a monthly fee to cover the cost of water, equipment, a newsletter and maintenance. Each garden has an irrigation system, tool shed with tools and a fence. Gardeners supply their own seeds, plants and soil amendments. Monthly educational sessions are led by Master Gardeners.
