How State Tax Credits Work for You and for Us

It’s that time of the year again! Community Gardens of Tucson invites you to take advantage of the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit program to support our mission and programs and save on your state income taxes!

When you direct your Tax Credit to CGT you provide opportunities for all Tucsonans to grow fresh, nutritious healthy food for the table, regardless of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, family status or ability.

Please, join hands with Community Gardens of Tucson and help us provide food security that is vital to so many in our community!

Five great things to know about this amazing program are:

  • You do not need to itemize to claim the tax credit;
  • Single, head of household, or married filing separately can contribute up to $400, and married filing jointly can contribute up to $800;
  • This credit can be claimed in addition to tax credits for gifts to public and private schools;
  • Credits are eligible for contributions made up to the date established by the state; and
  • Every dollar you claim goes directly to CGT and will immediately be put to work in support of our mission and programs!

Here’s how:

  •  Make your donation by or before tax day
  • Then, when you prepare your state taxes all you need to do is complete an AZ State Tax Form 321 and be sure to enter CGT’s unique code: 22252.

Thank you for your generous support in our work to make the world a better place through community gardens!
