When you give to Community Gardens of Tucson, you help create a stronger, healthier, more vibrant Tucson through our community gardens and partnerships.
Your generous financial investment in our mission and programs goes directly to increasing and improving gardening opportunities for hundreds of individuals and families in our 17 community gardens located in diverse Tucson neighborhoods.
Financial support allows us to continue serving the needs of Tucson’s gardening community, including those who lack the financial means to grow their own food!
Here’s how your tax-deductible gift directly supports our gardens:
- Scholarships: We subsidize nearly 40% of our gardeners’ plot fees so that anyone in Tucson who wants to grow their own fresh healthy food within a welcoming garden community can join us. Plot fees pay for automatic irrigation, garden maintenance, tools and equipment.
- Education: Our Kids in Gardens elementary school education program provides students with the tools to learn where food comes from, how to grow it, and understand that they can help take care of our planet. If your gift is specifically for Kids in Gardens, please note it in the comment box. Thanks!
- Environment: Your donation also helps to support sustainable gardening practices.
